Townshend Farmers' Market runs from June 7th through October 11th on Fridays from 4 pm to 7 pm, rain or shine! Sited in a new location on the lawn of the historic West Townshend Country Store off of Route 30 in West Townshend, this market features 10-12 vendors each week. The Townshend Farmers' Market offers a wide variety of unique products as well as harvest-fresh, seasonal produce to both locals and visitors seeking to taste the flavors of the West River Valley.

At the Townshend Farmers' Market shoppers will find local fruits, vegetables, grass-fed beef, eggs, honey, and syrup alongside less-traditional items like pickles on a stick, gourmet wild-crafted mushrooms, medicinal food and herbs. The market also features many handmade items including glass-blown homes for hermit crabs, birdhouses, chairs, and soaps. One vendor cooks up organic, locally sourced Thai food, and others offer a wide variety of breads and other freshly baked goods.

Besides offering an exceptional diversity of handmade and locally grown products, the Townshend Farmers' Market hosts a variety of events including a children's market one day in the season where children can sell their own handmade goods, a pie contest, and a shop with the chef event. A concert series following the market on the first Friday of each month is also in the works. The first concert will be after the market's kick-off on June 7th, where visitors can enjoy a night of blues music.

In addition, the market day coincides with the West Townshend Country Store's weekly pizza party night. Visitors to the market can make their own pizza and then watch it bake in the outdoor wood-fired oven. Be sure to check out this fun event while you are perusing the great market offerings.

If you are looking for an evening of good music, local food, and great people in a fun atmosphere, look no farther than the weekly Townshend Farmers' Market Friday nights!
